Charis High Academy participated in the 8th Hollotoli Inter-School Debate held on Saturday, the 31st of May, 2025. The competition brought together debaters from eight schools across Dimapur, Chumoukedima, and Kohima.
The topic of the competition was: ‘Tariffs and Trade Barriers are Essential Tools for Economic Growth.’
Our school representatives – Temjentila (Class X) & Rolio Phimu (Class X) displayed commendable enthusiasm throughout the event. The debate was judged by a panel of experienced educators and professionals.
The First Place was awarded to Maple Tree. The First and Second Runners-Up were Hope Academy and G. Rio School, respectively.
The competition provided a valuable platform for students to showcase their public speaking and critical thinking abilities. It also promoted awareness and discussion on important socio-economic issues.
Overall, the experience was enriching and inspiring, motivating all participants to further hone their debating and communication skills. Our school extends sincere gratitude to the organizers for the opportunity and looks forward to participating in similar events in the future.
